You and the rest of New York City are staying at home, staring endlessly at your phone or computer screen. I know you are looking for any new online content to keep you entertained. I have just the thing for you.
Bridget, Andrew, and I came up with an idea to make a weekly online show to help you stay entertained at home and keep informed by everything that is going on in the world! Let me introduce the newest show from the South Bronx United studios, “South Bronx Talks with Javi.”
We are going to have many visitors to this show, including SBU staff and coaches, professional soccer players, doctors and health professionals, and leaders from the South Bronx community. We will also opportunities for the audience to ask questions to our guests. Look for the latest updates on upcoming guests and how to submit your questions.
We will spend some time talking about the current health crisis a well. I will also have information for show viewers on how they can help people suffering during these time by donating or sharing on their socials.
“South Bronx Talks with Javi” drops on every Friday at 5pm on the South Bronx United YouTube Channel. The first episode is coming up this week on April 10th. We will be talking with Sara Gomez, South Bronx United’s Immigration Service Program Manager. She has been leading webinars to help community members deal with all the issue facing them now, from employment, to health, to immigration. You will definitely learn a few things!
